KeelFox is an independent reference for what home improvement work really costs, calculated for your country and your region instead of copied from a national average.
What we do
We price 35 home improvement projects in 6 countries, down to 100 states, provinces and regions. Every figure is calculated from the hours of work each job needs, the pay of the trades that do it where you live, and the materials, then checked against market prices and real quotes.
Alongside the cost guides we publish comparisons of materials and systems, a quarterly cost index, a free widget other sites can embed, and news on grants, tax rules and prices that change what a project costs.
Who is behind it
KeelFox is published by CR LLC. The cost model, the data and the articles are produced by the KeelFox cost desk, the editorial team responsible for every figure on the site.
How we make money
Today KeelFox has no advertisers and takes no fees from contractors, manufacturers or retailers. If that changes, advertising and partner offers will be clearly labelled and will never change our figures, rankings or comparisons.
