KeelFox Pro terms of service

These terms apply to KeelFox Pro ("the service"), the estimate widget with quote requests that businesses place on their own websites, provided by CR LLC ("we", "us"). "You" is the business that opens an account. By starting a trial or a subscription you accept these terms. The service is for businesses only.

The service

KeelFox Pro gives you a widget that shows homeowners an estimated price for a home improvement job in their area, adjusted by the percentages you set, and lets them send you a quote request. Requests are emailed to the addresses you choose, can be sent to a webhook, and stay available in your dashboard.

Trial, price and cancellation

  • The first 14 days are free and need no card. When the trial ends without a subscription, the widget keeps showing prices but stops showing your brand, your prices and the quote form.
  • The subscription costs £11.99 a month, including VAT where it applies, billed in advance. Payments are processed by Stripe, which may act as the seller of record and issue the invoice. We may change the price with at least 30 days' notice by email; the change applies from the next billing period.
  • You can cancel at any time from the dashboard. The service runs until the end of the period already paid; payments already made are not refunded, except where the law requires it.

Estimates are not quotes

The prices in the widget are estimates calculated from published labour hours, wage statistics, material prices and market data, changed by your percentages. They are not an offer from you or from us. You are responsible for the percentages you set and for the prices you actually quote to customers.

Quote requests and consent

  • Each request includes the homeowner's consent to be contacted by your business about their request, with the exact wording shown and the time it was given. We keep that record for you.
  • You are responsible for how you contact homeowners, including under UK GDPR, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the Telephone Preference Service rules, and for honouring requests to stop. The consent covers your business only: you may not sell, share or transfer requests to anyone else.
  • The requests are yours. We do not sell them, share them with other businesses or contact the homeowners ourselves.

Data processing on your behalf

For the personal data in quote requests you are the controller and we are your processor (UK GDPR, Article 28). We:

  • process the data only to run the service and on your documented instructions, which are these terms and your settings;
  • make sure the people who handle it are bound by confidentiality;
  • protect it with appropriate technical and organisational measures (encrypted connections, access limited to what is needed, backups);
  • use sub-processors only for hosting, email delivery and payments, under contracts with equivalent obligations, and tell you before adding new ones;
  • help you answer requests from homeowners and meet your security and breach-notification duties, and tell you without undue delay about a personal data breach affecting your data;
  • delete the data within 30 days of the end of your account, unless the law requires us to keep it, and give you an export (CSV) at any time before;
  • give you the information needed to show compliance with these obligations.

Transfers outside the UK are covered by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or another lawful mechanism.

Your content and your site

You confirm that you may use the company name, logo, phone number and website you enter, and that the widget will only be placed on websites you control. You may not use the service to collect data under false pretences or for any unlawful purpose.

Availability and liability

We work to keep the service available and accurate, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will bring you any number of requests or jobs. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the three months before the claim, and we are not liable for loss of profit or indirect loss. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Suspension and changes

We may suspend an account that breaches these terms, for example for misuse of homeowners' data or non-payment. We may update these terms; for material changes we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email.
